Sutherlands Opens in Dodge City STAR Bond District

Sutherlands had their official Grand Opening in Dodge City on Sunday, October 12th, 2019 at their new location at 1510 Soule St. in the Star Bond Power District. Construction of the 75,000 sf building with an additional 35,000 sf garden center began in mid 2018. Sutherlands is a complete home improvement and hardware store.

Sutherlands is the second to develop in the Power District after Casey’s General Store who opened their first location in Dodge City at 2201 N 14th Ave. on February 14th,2019. Before Sutherlands was able to begin construction, the First Assembly of God church that was located on the Northeast corner of the property had to be relocated. They have built a new church at 3500 N. 14th Ave. called Cross Connections Church.

In the future, there are two pad sites in front (East) of Sutherlands that will be developed for retail. Each lot has room for multi-tenant strips that will be great sources of sales tax revenue for the City of Dodge City.
