First-Ever Childcare Provider Appreciation Event Set for May 9

In honor of the dedicated individuals who provide essential early childhood care and education, the Childcare Coalition of Dodge City is proud to host its first-ever Childcare Provider Appreciation Event on Friday, May 9, 2025.

This special evening will bring together licensed childcare providers in Ford County for a night of recognition, gratitude, and celebration. The event will feature a steak dinner, an awards ceremony recognizing the community-nominated “Spotlight Provider,” and a series of giveaway drawings made possible through donations from local businesses and organizations. The steak dinner is made possible through the generous support of Cargill.

“Our childcare providers play a critical role in supporting families and strengthening our community,” said Mollea Lightner, Assistant Director of Economic Development. “This event is a small way to say thank you for their hard work, compassion, and commitment to our children.”
